HEAVEN IS A GOOD PLACE

Heaven is a good place
You oughta know by now
Jesus lives in heaven
Gonna get there some-old-how

Ain’t gonna live like I did
Ain’t gonna lie no more
I’m going to the highway
Hitch a ride to heaven’s door

Jesus preached The Kingdom
Walked upon the waves
Gave the poor man food to eat
Saved him from the grave

Some people sure did love Him
Others turned away
It would be just the same
If He came back here today

The earth beneath them shook

And Jesus drove the business man
From the temple hall
Said “You ain’t got no business
In my Father’s house at all”

Yes He preached The Kingdom
Done it night and day
When the police heard him
They hauled that man away

Jesus is my shield
Makes up my dyin’ bed
Soon I’m going to leave this world
And live with him instead

If you ain’t got religion
That ain’t the greatest sin
All you got to do is pray
Then you can begin
